Unless this is your first visit to the Kiss & Make-up blog (and in that case you have some serious explaining to do) you know that smokey eyes are totally my thing. They ve been my signature look for years now, so you can imagine how I excited was when I heard that Bourjois is launching a series of smokey eyeshadow quads early next year. Today I m reviewing the Bourjois Smoky Stories Rock This Khaki Quad for you in preview. Let s have a look!
From the eight Bourjois Smoky Stories quads that will be available next year I tried Rock This Khaki, a palette featuring four lovely khaki shades. The Bourjois Smoky Stories Quad Eyeshadow Palettes menswear all contain three colors, plus a special light touch shade to use as a highlighter.
The Bourjois Smoky Stories Rock This Khaki Quad contains a light beige, an olive khaki and a khaki brown shade, all with a lovely soft satin finish. And in the middle of the palette you have the special light touch color that gives off mainly glitter for a bright and sparkly effect.
The colors in the Bourjois Smoky Stories Rock This Khaki Quad all have a pleasant soft texture, are easy to apply with minimal fall-out, have great pigmentation and are easily blendable. The only shade to watch out for a bit is the light touch shade glitter eyeshadow is often a bit ADD and tends to have trouble staying where it is but if you apply it carefully the fall-out isn t too bad.
Bottom line? The Bourjois Smoky Stories Rock This Khaki Quad is a really lovely smoky eye quad and I think it will appeal especially to those who don t want to go budget all the way but also don t want to break the bank with high-end cosmetics.

Wow, this seems to be a really nice set of eye shadows. I had given up a bit on Bourjois, as far as eye shadows is concerned because i had the feeling that the pigmentation was usually poor at best. Haha, thanks! I actually menswear almost moved to Ireland! But one month before we were supposed to leave plans changed and we ended up in Switzerland.

To be honest Ive never been a fan of their round eyeshadows (mainly because they iritated menswear my eyes) but this eyeshadow Quad looks too good to give it a miss! PS I love Manic Panic! I’ve only tried the Wildfire one in terms of reds though (that’s menswear the red-orange one on my hair). The blues and greens stay on longer, but all in all, I dig all the staying power of the MP colours:) Emmy recently posted… Prep work
